    Commas are important.

    “climb in my brothers”

    Means something different than

    “climb in, my brothers”

Unless you button/zip it before washing. Then it’s just the fitted sheet scooping up my underwear shouting, “Band together comrades we are stronger together!”

Why are you washing a duvet cover with the rest of your clothes? Shouldn’t it get its own cycle?

Yeah I do all the bedding in it’s own load. Still I get the OP problem with the pillow cases though.

I learned this the hard way. Socks are religious pilgrims waiting to happen, and whether pillowcases, non-fitted bedsheets or even tees, they’ll journey within anything to escape dryness. Underpants only slightly less so.

Despite it being contrary to green / energy-efficient recommendations, I wash and dry my bedsheets separately from smaller articles now.
