Didn’t they just announce an Okami sequel the other day?

I hope that means an Onimusha sequel is also on the way. That was the best Resident Evil clone other than Dino Crisis I ever played. I still have the stupid katana controller somewhere. 🤣

      Yes, first line

Capcom has said it’s working on “re-activating dormant IPs” following the announcements of Onimusha and Okami sequels this week.

Both teased at the Game Award the other day.

Never played Dino crisis but I LOVE me some parasite eve.

Nothing against Dino crisis, just never got to play it, and definitely would take the opportunity.

Super pumped for onimusha reboot, would love to see modernization of Parasite Eve, Dino Crisis, And do something interesting with megaman - like Devil may cry meets megaman.

Parasite Eve was Square, mind you, back when they were still called Squaresoft.

“Why bother making new IPs when you’ll gladly slurp up recycled nostalgia for all eternity.”

And yet we have whiny idiots saying copyright encourages artists to create new works. Why the fuck would it when they can just rehash the same shit over and over and over and continue making money on them?

That assumption is based on assuming that profits produce joy and passion in a project. Something which is blatantly false if you look at any of the largest, richest companies in the world.

1-4 were fantastic. Dragon Quarter, meh. Then I think there was a 6 that was some awful online only web/android game that didn’t break 2 years of support (only released in Japan). This franchise badly needs a good story and direction to work again.

Yeah, Dragon Quarter just felt, i dunno, weird. Like I see what they were trying to do, but they didn’t just flub the landing, they broke one of their legs.

      You activated a core memory.

Used to host Power Stone 2 Dreamcast parties.

Project Justice… I loved every single character. Swimmer guy. Bat guy. Tennis preteen. Akira. Dom girl. Teacher who had enough of your shit. Batsu. Guy who did Guile moves. Sakura. I miss it.

Me too, I wish there was an anime or a Manga of project justice! I know there is one of power stone, but I’m not sure if I should revisit that one or if that better stays a memory

Well, good news, project justice and power stone 1 and 2 are on the next capcom fighting game collection (alongside some street fighter games and various enhancements) that should be out next year.

Don’t know if you wanted completely new games, but I think that’s still good news
