Not every country is like the us
Especially in Europe a lot of them try to better people instead of punishing them and many have special institutions for teenagers that are my like psychiatric wards than prisons
My friend really dislikes Turnbased combat but still liked the game a lot just for how much freedom you have in your gameplay
Of course they would - they need to find an alternative to oil as a sole basis of what’s keeping the country wealthy.
Although I’d say that producing and exporting hydrogen would already be a great alternative that would be basically interchangeable with selling oil and Saudi Arabia has a lot of very sunny land available to produce the energy required
The problem is that without those exclusive deals noone would change
Most people didn’t buy EA games at origin or Ubisoft games at UPlay even though you needed those launchers anyway. They even didn’t buy CDProjekt games at gog despite the games being dem free there.
Excluding deals on sought after games is literally the only way to get a majority of the players moving away from there comfortable “I have ally games and friends there already” position
People are lazy and hate change - without force it’s not going to happen
No it won’t - people are lazy
Even CDProjekt sold many more copies on steam than GOG when you
Don’t tell me people are choosing the better deal when it’s all just steam having the might of “I have most of my games there already” on their side…
Let’s also not forget that game developers have no choice but to release on steam if they want to have any chance on breaking even since they have that huge of a market share and that Epic challenging that already lead to better deals for developers since Valve hat virtually free reign before
Ah
I’d guess it should send a “see how I can provide for food even without using money” kind of way?
But yeah it’s stupid
Wouldn’t it be more realistic if Barbie was also Ken? Since most catfishs are dudes going for dudes?
Or is the meme referring to something else?
If the fine is not a fixed amount but actually gets more expensive the more money you have it actually is quite nice though
Always enjoy those stories about millionaires paying some big sums for speeding tickets in Switzerland
If you pirate stuff they can sue you to the ground but if a fine is not related to total income or wealth it’s just something to be ignored.
Can’t understand why not more people lobby for fines to be proportional in general…
Can’t have the already well-off children go without their steady income that they didn’t have to work for…

My problem exactly
Between BG3 and the Cyberpunk 2.0 and DLC my Gametime is already running pretty thin
Perhaps I’ll manage to play it in february
While money doesn’t but happiness the absence of money surely makes happiness almost impossible with how much you always have to worry about different stuff…
I’m very thankful to be in a position where I don’t have to worry about which supermarket has the cheapest groceries as I know I can afford it if it’s 10% more expensive than it needs to be - seeing my mom spending hours going through ad-magazines to figure out where to buy what only to save a handful of euros is something I’m very glad I don’t have to do
Yeah Battery capacity getting low is one of the main reasons why most people replace their phones
Once you are able to just switch to a fresh battery again and clean up some of the apps running on your phone it’s as good as new in most cases and people wouldn’t buy new phones as often.
Can’t have people not buying new things regularly…
I wonder how a strictly linear thread structure is possible to transpose into a branching structure like lemmy
Switched from Galaxy to Playnite a couple of months ago and am happy with it so far
Yeah but in your example both have wildly different prices while COD and Zelda cost the same
Just because it’s the same doesn’t make it worse though - so it definitely is up there with the best game soundtracks of games from this year
