Spiritually, I’m with you brother but Veronica is clearly a brunette here. I appreciate sticking with aesthetics even if I disagree.
They’re both absolutely adorable here

Might just be me but I think this looks cool/cute af especially with the little plush
There was a time when the Google apps just worked, the applications were optimised for UX. Maybe I’ve just only noticed it now but the directions (and assistant in general) aren’t as useful, reliable, and filled with sponsored stuff.
what do you use for navigation and how does it compare?
Only started running relatively recently so it’s not first thing in the morning but it’s a habit. I needed a way to “warm up” for the day and be physically active.
Aside from the general hype of “it feels great” “healthy” yada yada, it gets to a point where you feel uneasy not running. Like after training my legs, they want to go for a run and be used.
You need to account for having time (sleeping early and getting up early with naps during the day) and slowly conditioning but the most important thing is consistency. Only evaluating based on your previous efforts rather than comparing to others.
From the article.
The creators expect the wooden material will burn up completely when the device re-enters the atmosphere—potentially providing a way to avoid the generation of metal particles when a retired satellite returns to Earth.
These metal particles could have a negative impact on the environment and telecommunications, the developers said as they announced the satellite’s completion on Tuesday.
be warned, it’ll give you unearned optimism about how responsible you are to revisit the tabs you saved but will never see the light of day again.

After the following years, I’ve quietly taken the whole “this is when we diverged into the darkest timeline” schtick an iota more seriously. It’s been a strange 8 years.
but because Kevin Conroy, I got it anyways.
Corporate greed ruins yet another thing I love.
I admire the late Conroy as much as the next guy but my brother in christ this mindset is exactly what fuels this level of quality by directly justifying it via your purchase.
You can’t solely blame these corporation if you continue to behave in ways that to support and incentivises them to utilise these strategies.
Made me have a healthier relationship with social media, my smartphone usage, and overall thinking. I almost exclusively used RiF and curated it enough that I could readily get lost in it for hours in threads and/or following drama.
I knew what I liked about reddit was the mods, the 3rd party apps, and the communities, and the company behind the website was the least appealing ineffectual part of the experience. They were slow in every sense of the word and consistently made out-of-touch decisions.
Lemmy was a great transition point for me. At first I was trying to treat it as a clone. Instead, I found a place (and the fediverse in general) where there wasn’t a mass amount of resources spent to keeping me engaged - it’s just content of the day, no strings attached.
I found a space that was indifferent to the amount of time I spent on it, passionate communities that were more responsive and literate, and just felt more respected as a person.
“I demand a favor”
“I grant but one boon, mortal. And it will be given to you as it is given to everyone - when your time has come.”
Gargoyles, Guy summons Anubis to bring back his son. YT Link for the amazing delivery.
“Death is always pointless - that is the point”
There’s pros and cons., though personally I used this calendar for my fiction writing.
I’d like to find a way to sync the lunar cycle and solar cycles since the earth’s, moon’s, and revolutions around the sun are soooo close (5 days off) plus it’d make sense to keep in theme with the Babylonian-esque base-60 system (where 60 is readily divided and a factor of 360 days, 12 months, 30 days, etc).
Which is pretty much what the Ancient Egyptians did.
*edit: pretty much have 5 “fake days” and add a sixth “fake” day to account for the gradual desync.
Person has an idea for an X-men RPG, conceptualised a little too well and loves it so much they cursed themselves with the awareness of difficulty of game development and it’s non-existence.
Decides to make a video and spread the curse to X-men and JRPG fans alike.
literally all fighting games. started with smash, loved to sf4, then dbfz. sucked hard but still f opening fgc content to this day - planning to buy sf6 when i get the chance/time
Because about 10 years ago, those Safari/IE weren’t 1. as smooth/simple as Chrome and 2. everyone on the internet bar the tech nerds were pushing for Chrome. Firefox was viewed in the same light as Linux in my circles.
It was a meme that the only use IE had was to download Chrome. It’s not that crazy when you realise the power of word-of-mouth and the meeting the general population’s needs for simplicity and google-search integration/features
Amazing journaling/personal information managment software. I love that once you understand how it works, you can journal however you like and it “maps” out how your connect concepts. Not exaggerating when I say it helped me piece a lot of concepts and personal themes together
