Haha, I sleep in a hoodie and my wife is baffled by it, she’s a furnace and couldn’t possibly.
I really enjoy having that hood, feels like I’m strapping into sleep time.

Disagree! Sleeping with the windows cracked open in the winter is amazing.
They work in my town just outside a large metro area in the US.
That said, no one seems to actually use them here and are always crossing traffic at the worst times.
It’s really frustrating to watch people of every age playing chicken with cars daily.
Fwiw they’re just collecting a paycheck. Sure it’s scummy for them to not reject the businesses offering them the money but tbh I really don’t blame them - I’d probably take the cash too.
Depending on the channel size sponsored ad reads can deliver upwards of multiple thousand per video for the creator. If you see multiple channels with the same ads, it’s bc the company advertising got a big budget approved, that’s it.
Imo just skip the ad reads (or get sponsorblock) and forget they exist. Usually the creator doesn’t even give a fuck who’s paying them or why. They are victims of the system too, not maliciously peddling garbage. I do wish they didn’t have to peddle anything, but here we are.
I’m nearly at 7 with my employer and I’ve found the situation to be quite good and I see no sign yet to jump ship. There’s still good gigs out there.
I’m sure the person you are responding to had good reason to stick around 20 years. It’s possible only recently did the math not work out for them.
Yeah, I’m with you. The entitlement around media (games movies TV) is insane to me.
You do realize those are usually exclusive for only a year, right? So EGS pays them out for a year of exclusivity and then the devs are free to launch on steam and others.
The thing is, often if they don’t get that first infusion of cash from a deal with EGS (or another investor) they don’t get to complete or even launch the game at all. So it never would make it to the other markets.
Btw he still has to play the full amount. Just reduced payment needed now. It’s still shitty, but he ain’t off the hook.
I have a pair of wired ath m50x from 2008. They still work well and on the third set of pads.
Pretty sure folks are referring to streaming sites meaning like Netflix. The person you are responding to said “click and go” referring to services like YouTube and Hulu not sketchy “streaming” sites like what you are describing that require some hoops to go through to make sure.you don’t download a virus.
Could you pull the ladder up behind you any harder?
So what, we should eat shit and die and suffer and not be excited about things that feel like small victories?
The pov you’re providing is bleak and grim. We aren’t dumb, we know we’re fucked and our election sucks. We can focus on multiple things at a time and we can laugh at our political idiots while also being mad at them.
For me it was when his videos turned into advertisements blatant for paying the bills. He moved to CA, lost the passion for yt (which I don’t blame him, life happens) but then the videos he would make were soulless adverts in his vlog style.
He seems to be “back” now doing videos with passion and vigor. I hope he’s having fun again
Could you elaborate on which? I’ve seen a lot of sketchy reviews recently
Fastmail supports aliases as well. I’m not sure how they are from a privacy side overall tho
The feline investigation bureau?
Surprised you don’t take this sort of detail up to your skip level. Corporations are not entirely blind to issues in all cases. Actually, I bet you have raised these concerns. For all the folks nodding along, talk to your boss’ boss!! You owe it to yourself to try
This will just push websites to change the orders and names of their query params (maybe regularly).
I don’t think one can safely omit all query params from all sites and expect a decent experience across all websites.
You are fighting a good fight, I salute you, but query params (the part of the url where the identifiers are included) are a valid and core part of Internet addresses. Trying to strip them away universally will only work for so long.
I think that’s why you haven’t found a tool that meets all your needs yet, because many sites have legitimate uses for those params that don’t include tracking. You’ll probably need tools designed specifically for Amazon and other specific websites/services.
Today I learned! Thanks
Maybe try a new non work hobby in this downtime. You don’t have to be a more productive or engaged employee to find joy and excitement in life! Why can’t work be that consistent but dull backdrop that empowers/enables your the rest of your time?
Maybe a mindset shift will help. You don’t have to keep climbing that corporate ladder. Stop and smell the roses! Idk about you, but most above me on that ladder at my company seem pretty overworked and tired
