I’ve literally never heard a single person bring that idea up. Acting like it’s somehow a widely held belief because that dude said so is idiotic.

Yeah, I’m at that point now. Normally I don’t engage this heavily with obvious trolls, guess this is my quarterly reminder why I don’t.

On the off chance that you’re actually open to hearing any kind of criticism, sure:

1. You made a post on a small forum about an objectively obscure topic, seemingly with the expectation that people would understand an acronym for that obscure topic.
2. Numerous comments essentially asked “what the fuck does that even mean?”
3. When faced with an opportunity to introduce more people to this obscure topic with some modicum of grace, you instead made what appeared to be a sarcastic, disparaging comment that people should obviously just know what you’re talking about.
4. When called out for #3, you decided that everyone in this thread clearly hated the obscure topic that none of them had even heard of, rather than realizing that people reacted poorly to your poorly disguised arrogance and pretentious comments.

That is the most pretentious way of saying “nuh-uh” I’ve read today. Feel free to continue your string of pseudo-intellectual, self-aggrandizing bullshit, but don’t expect me to clap for you.

You can sit around and be a pretentious dick all you want, or you can take this as an opportunity to welcome people to something that you enjoy. Clearly you’ve already decided to do the former.

Looking back, there were definite jumps between generations, but at the time it definitely felt gradual after xbox->360/PS2->PS3. The jump to Xbox/PS2 was incredible at the time

Man, it was really cool growing up with the evolution of graphics. Went from N64 to PS1, Xbox, and all the way through today. Every step of the way was awesome

Space flight controls are more fluid, and you can walk around your ship, get out and board other ships/walk around planets. Just generally more immersive than ED.

Also, you can buy almost every ship in game. CIG sells ships instead of DLC, and they persist between wipes. You can just buy a starter ship for $35 and upgrade with in game money after you make some cash. There are a few ships that are unavailable to buy in game, CIG usually holds ships back for a while after they release them to buy with real money.

I am, 60+hrs in and I’m thoroughly enjoying it

Star Citizen, even with all its flaws, is a better space sim than Elite

I think a lot of people that are extremely critical of it weren’t going to buy it anyway and just want to enjoy banding together to shit on it in camaraderie because it’s popular to hate it.
