The zillion part definitely made me lean towards sarcasm, but I guess I can never be too sure with all the brainrot and bots out there. The Red Scare still lingers.

Your mother was kind and intelligent enough to get satisfaction from the knowledge that she made someone’s winter a bit more bearable. We should all strive to be like your mother.
I honestly can’t tell if this is sarcastic or not. There are too many people out there that sound just like this.
It’s weird to root for a multi billion dollar corporation, especially Nintendo, even if you think Palworld is in the wrong.
I can agree that IP theft can be dumb in some cases, and Palworld is cutting it pretty close there. Nintendo sues everyone, though, even for the pettiest of reasons, and this kind of behavior shouldn’t be encouraged.
Palworld isn’t actually putting a dent in Nintendo’s bottom line. Nintendo is just litigious against everybody, including their own fans, so of course they are going to sue a competitor.
The little black box with a screen is a pager. Pagers have been in the news because Israel made a bunch of Hezbollah pagers splode, in case you somehow missed all of that.
I don’t why you are so downvoted. Your comment didn’t come off as shilling for Snapchat or anything, and it just clarifies things for people who only read the headline. I appreciate the clarification.
This is still an invasion of privacy, but not quite as egregious as using people’s faces in global advertisements. Obligatory fuck Snapchat, regardless.
Best rally Sim is definitely debatable, but it most definitely still holds up pretty well against more modern rally sims like Dirt Rally 2.0, and that is insane enough considering it’s age. The mods for RBR have definitely extended its lifespan.
The physics in RBR still feel better to me than the modern rally games like Dirt Rally 2, and WRC9 and what not, and that is incredibly impressive. I will say the modern games are better for competitive play and obviously have better graphics and immersion.
Dirt Rally 2 with even a cheap driving simulator setup is incredible. It’s like the dark souls of racing games, and doesn’t hold your hand at all.
Assetto Corsa is another great one with a simulator. The amount of mods, cars, and tracks added to the game has made enough content to keep someone entertained for probably their whole life.
Really, any modern racing game that uses wheel and pedals are amazing compared to what existed before that. Luckily, even the good direct drive wheels and good pedal setups have gotten more affordable in recent times.
It probably depends on slight differences in regional dialect. Where I am from I would say woman and women are often pronounced pretty similarly, while man and men are easier to tell apart.
In my region, woman is often pronounced with an ‘uh’ sound, like womuhn. It’s pretty easy to confuse with women. I have noticed that people in my area will sometimes vary up the ‘wo’ part of women and woman depending on which one they are using. So women becomes ‘wimen’, and woman becomes ‘wumuhn’.
You ask the important questions. That is a tough one. I imagine that to most gen alpha kids, an adult using their slang would be considered Ohio behavior, but it probably depends on how Sigma they consider the teacher to be.
Ohio is just used as a replacement for weird or cringey. That’s really it. Ohio rizz is what they call it when someone is awkward, weird, or creepy when flirting.
I know it’s a joke, but Dr. Peterson has never said anything as profound as the root comment. He can definitely say some things that are as long winded as that comment, but his point would be about women being better off in the kitchen, or something about how pronouns are going to end civilization, or some garbage like that.
They sell these at Walmart, too. It really only requires a chance sighting of it and a couple weeks allowance for a young teen or kid to end up with one of these cheap smartphones.
I should have put a /s because the comment about aesthetic over readability was sarcastic. I was just joking, and I definitely agree with you.
Oh, I see now. I’m dumb. I didn’t realize this just brings up random URLs to web 1.0 pages. Thanks for pointing that out!
I have found that local banks like credit unions, and such, seem to have nicer mobile apps from my experience.
I have worked as a software engineer for a smaller bank like this, and the development was a lot more honest. These kind of banks normally just want a pleasant user experience for their customers, unlike bigger banks that want to deploy all sorts of dark patterns to collect user data and sell extra stuff to their customers.
That white text on gray background. What a design choice.
Aesthetic > readability. The user can just select all on the page if they want to actually read it, right?
Edit: It was pointed out to me that this brings up a random URL every time someone clicks it, so everybody is not seeing the same thing. Whoops.
That’s fair and I can agree. I don’t use Brave, but for everything I’ve heard about it, it sounds pretty competent. The team behind Brave doesn’t deserve to suffer, and the hatred should be to Eich, himself, not Brave as a whole.
Brendan Eich should be blacklisted in the tech world. It’s really too bad that they partnered with a bigot and his shitty company.
When I was younger, I thought Brendan Eich was a god for creating JavaScript and his contributions to web development. Then he started to speak about his personal views, and he instantly went from a god to an evil villain to me.
How can somebody so smart be so dumb and evil at the same time?
