I’m sure all of this is correct, but you’re forgetting one thing: potatoes are the only one of these you can grow enough of to eat at home, as long as you have space for a bucket or sack or two of soil, and which basically require zero processing aside from applying heat to consume.

I agree with you that we shouldn’t actually need to know or use any of this information, and as a poor disabled person I also know that growing your own food isn’t always an option for everyone, but if it is an option, I think it at the very least puts potatoes back in the running.

Because they’re still more concerned about the bottom line than they are about your wellbeing, so they’ve sold large chunks of the service off, and us poors who can’t afford to go private have to put up with a deliberately underfunded, sub standard service.

I actually remember the advice from last time, I had managed to stay up the second night we were meant to see the lights, and I thought I might have (thought it was grey streaks like you describe), but looking through the camera it was clearly just a mixture of light pollution and clouds 😭

They might not be buying the toothpaste, but they may very well be in partnership with or owned by the same people as the toothpaste company. I’m sure they know the brand of toothpaste you use makes very little difference in the grand scheme of things, and if they were to recommend one it wouldn’t be because they’re wanting what’s best for you, but because some money exchanged hands.

Wow, thanks! That does look promising (to me as a lay person anyway!), I’ll have to give it a try once I’ve sorted out that extra memory I’ve been meaning to buy since my backup space is running out, and I definitely want to make sure I have a solid back up before trying anything.
