Considering the type of game it is, they should go buy to play and then release expansions later on instead.
You might want to try Humankind then. Sounds like Civ 7 is basically copying the ideas from it anyway
But it’s not free. You have to subscribe to X premium
And that’s what we call survivorship bias. Sure you’ll be ticking along fine until some Legionella or Botulism just kills you before anyone knows it, other than maybe the doctor if you see one on time and the coroner. Then the next you online just assumes no need to wash things with soap because you just blipped out silently from existence.
There’s a reason billions of humans didn’t populate the earth until modern sanitation and understanding of disease.
Now sure some dirt every now and then from gardening (you still breathe some in after all) will do you good, keep your immune system busy. You’re right on that. But eating carrots straight from the ground is just rolling an unnecessary gamble you don’t need. You’re not wrong in that too much sanitation isn’t good either - but you do misunderstand a bit what that means. You don’t have to wear gloves working the ground - unless you have open cuts. You don’t have to soap up your carrots - but you do gotta give em a good rinse. Just dial it back a bit and you’ll make it unlikely to end up in a miserable time later in life, while still getting those benefits. A castle is strong, but just takes one thing to sneak in to bring it down from the inside - best not invite too many invaders once it’s already been built
Modded games too.
Linux is getting there, but it’s really only great for single player games now. That’s what I use it for
I mean, it exists, but it’s experimental and extremely expensive
This is a good right to mention Obtanium, which is an app that basically streamlines that
By not putting the solar farms in Rovaniemi?
They’re in Uusimaa region, which still gets some sunlight in winter. Either way, they produce massive amounts of energy in the Summer, and in the winter we use the nuclear reactors more.
I live in Finland. Can confirm we have solar energy. It’s extremely useful considering that in the summer we have near 24 hours of sunlight.
Just install FydeOS then
It’s essentially just ChromeOS
Doesn’t get simpler than that.
That said, Ubuntu itself has been enough for my essentially computer illiterate dad. He never could use Windows but he at least learned basics on Ubuntu.
I sometimes wonder how much of that culture is influenced by biology. In many other animals, it’s a survival mechanism to feign you’re doing fine even if you’re injured or sick, because otherwise predators will target you and it’s harder to find a mate.
I wonder if traces of that still linger and, due to our much more complex social structures and high intelligence, it’s displayed culturally the way it is.
Yeah but the infotainment system can be Linux based.
Haven’t you heard? Freing is the new fuing. And ce***Ed is unallowed now too
I’ve found I prefer Fedora over debian builds for gaming, and Bazzite also includes literally everything needed for gaming of any kind already installed. Also it being immutable is really good in particular in case a game causes system issues. Bazzite also has great Steam Deck integration and desktop interoperability if needed, and can install emulators from the get go, along with many wine configurations for older Windows games.
It’s also nice to have my work space divided completely from my gaming one, and a debian build is great for productivity programs like audio mixing, 3d printing, and art, since there’s more stability and support vs bleeding edge like fedora.
Hence my dual boot set up (with separate ssd’s).
Now I just have to get around to writing a script to clean up the grub menu, street going through making it look pretty.
I have a dual boot, mint and Bazzite. Bazzite is great for gaming
This convinces me further that imaginary friends are only supernatural if real at all
What about the Ladybird project?
