Yeah, I have no preference. Both are nice for very different reasons.
Keep it light, keep it moving.
I am doing no harm.

I don’t want to insult your intelligence, but you may just be tech-savvy, or at the very least, tech-literate. I also don’t have a problem with either because I simply follow the UI logic as the average Jane should.
My big question is, why not fork the original first and commercialize that instead. So much forking around the wrong ways! /s
Oh no, I never got to play online. Why wasn’t it fun?
People have been calling him Elmo for a while now. I don’t get why but it’s kind of funny.
For how lauded the dude is as a visionary entrepreneur, I’m still wondering what one single thing he’s done right to earn the title with any of his businesses. Everything he touches turns to shit even when accounting for run-of-the-mill corporate practices. The dude sucks.
May she plunder the shores and claim herself fair wenches across the seven seas!
I hate you. Wait no I don’t 😂
I’m unsure if it’s different here outside the States. I’ve been using Indeed and its local variants where I at least get someone on the phone regularly. But on LinkedIn, it’s like all my applications fall into a void. Even recruiters who cold-contact me on there with an offer seem to ghost me immediately. It doesn’t help that it’s the only site where salaries aren’t posted, which is kind of a big deal considering how little some companies want to pay for junior and mid-level devs.
But tbh, sometimes I feel like companies exploit the application process to get people’s info to input into a marketing database. I once got on a call with someone asking me for my height and weight. Like, what does my body size have to do with the job where I sit at a computer all day? Maybe I’m wrong but those kinds of details can only be used for discrimination or to kidnap me, right? Even my friend was weirded out by that one when I asked him if that had ever happened to him over the years and he said no.

2024! 🤞
I’ve yet to find any sort of success from using LinkedIn to find job opportunities. Of all the job hunting sites out there, I find it the least helpful, often giving preference to employers rather than candidates in the hiring process. It sucks ass.
I knew someone who got caught up in their pyramid marketing scheme. The prizes were some low quality shit. The watch they won got badly scratched and the wristband’s pin fell off the same day from regular use. It was pretty funny watching it disintegrate in real time.
It doesn’t have to be free but come on.
I beg to differ! My degree was free for all intents and purposes, and no, it didn’t take away from the challenge or the quality of education. I cried blood tears in order to graduate but it was worth it.
Jenny is a legend. Her content is awesome.
Yeah, I think there was something like that floating around. I imagine it’s costly, though, but it’d be nice to have.
I like the concept and I have it installed, but I don’t contribute to it because I find it challenging to think of better titles. It’s not easy like with Sponsorblock that I regularly submit to. For example, sometimes I need to watch most of the video first to be accurate, and by then I’ve already moved on to the next video. Other times it’s simply hard for me to condense the content of the video accurately into so many characters when the original title is way off.
I do like the way it makes all the titles lowercase, though. I find that changes the tone of the video feed quite a bit.
It’s crazy how we’ve gone from a seemingly inescapable monopoly on office software in the 2000s to it being optional. I remember working at a previous job where everyone used Google Sheets by choice and they would raise their eyebrows if you spun up Excel.
