Nope, I just checked. Apparently, you can’t say anything good about Linux. Seems like a useless waste of time but, whatever. If I got banned from that site I would consider it a blessing.

I’m not sure if it’s related but there was an annual symposium called “Linux Sucks”. It was a gathering of mostly Linux developers. The idea was to find the ways Linux sucks and develop ideas to fix the suck.

Uncertainties

Imagine you’re camping, it’s 2:00 a.m., and you hear that noise!

We’ve had meetings spelling out to users what they should look for in a suspicious email. Then, once a week we would send out an email that was either legitimate or suspicious. We would ask them to look closely at the email and mark down on the questionnaire whether the email was suspicious or legitimate. A not insignificant number of people failed the test every week. Your average user just isn’t equipped with the mindset they need to be safe on the internet.

I’m not saying don’t use the Internet. I’m saying be aware, be careful. Don’t let companies sell your information. Use two factor authentication. Encrypt everything you can. Scan your system for malware. Don’t open suspicious emails. Be proactive, but realize at some point someone could compromise your security.

I figure it’s best to assume that there is no privacy on the internet.

I’ve been in IT to close to 40 years and I don’t say anything online that I wouldn’t say in public.

Always amazes me that the very people who preach their rights and freedom are the very ones who want to take them all away. Oh, right, they want to take your rights away not theirs.

I have looked at that. I don’t know why I haven’t looked at it yet. That was redundant. I need more coffee.

I forgot all about that one

I used to play that. It was pretty good. I just downloaded Diablo Immortal again. It’s hard to find something like it. Other games I like are Eternium and Anima.

Absolutely and it’s scary AF.

Everyone these days is in a bubble. All of the things they believe in echo around inside the bubble. The other side is evil. We can’t listen to them. They have alternate facts. The politicians feed this to rile up the faithful to get more votes. Who cares if people start killing each other and storming the capital as long as they can gain power and keep it so they can get rich sucking up to their corporate overlords.
