  • Meh it’s usually for shitty companies that expect their devs to write real software, ssh into things, access databases, but put the same hurdles in front of them as joeblow from sales who can’t use an ipad to buy a sandwich without clicking a phishing link. So every new project is slowed down cause it takes weeks of emails and teams conversations to get a damn db sandbox and it’s annoying.

On the other hand IT doesn’t know you and has millions of issues to attend to

Also work on not being such a dopamine hound. I don’t need to see new-show this year. Or this decade. I’ll see it eventually. Or never. Who cares.

Know what’s as good as music? The wind in the trees.

Not saying I’m some ascetic who doesn’t enjoy media, but when I hit a paywall or an adwall I just try to say “ok, see ya later” and move on letting that content desire slip from my mind.

The whole premise of the joke is the relative “common knowledge” of Nicaragua, or any other central/south American country. Be it to Americans or Europeans

Im not competing with any other commenter, or anyone else. It’s just a fuckin life experience.

Don’t make jokes if you can’t take jokes

Edit further if living in the UK for a decade across the “formative” years where geography is taught doesn’t count, then I’m not sure where the lesson about countries lands.
