  • Yes, it is. I use it every day to visit multiple locations. My personal pet peeve is when it displays “In 1.5 miles, continue straight”. On a road where there’s no changes in that distance. That’s not part of the directions, that’s just continuing. Not only is it unhelpful because I can’t not do this “step”, but I can’t see the next, actual step, which could be “In 200 ft, turn left” and won’t know which lane to be in.

I can’t prove it, but I think at some point they applied an automatic algorithm that added intermediate steps to all their routing (for when a road curves a certain way, etc), but it was too aggressive and not human-reviewed.

“Hello! Why are you shitty and want your cat to destroy the local bird population and then (statistically) have their life cut short? Much love, Your Neighbor”

EDIT: Downvote all you want but these facts are true:

    1. Cats decimate bird populations when they are loose.
    2. Indoor cats live longer, healthier lives.

If you love your pets (obviously not talking about barn cats that technically have a job, but housecats), you’ll do what’s best for them.

  • Wow, AAA publishers really did a number on us all, huh? Think of them as “expansions”. The game was absolutely complete on 1.0 and you can still get that version! I have most of my time playing the game on v1.0.

The developer then added more content to the game, for free. The bug fixes have been pretty minor and would have happened with paid updates or without, like any modern game…

  • There’s farming and fishing, tons to collect and craft and upgrade, there’s dungeons, there’s relationships and rare items, and variety of play in the seasons and festivals… But for me, my favorite thing is just how damn charming it all is. The soundtrack is great and atmospheric, even the sound effect of just chopping down a tree is so perfect and satisfying. And IMO, there’s no game that’s a better example of “play at your own pace”. It’s pretty cheap and appeals to such a wide variety of gamers… So give it a try!
