  • I’m glad I just setup Linux two weekends ago. It was simple to install all of my hardware worked well. I only miss a couple of minor features like the LED software and my overclocking software.

And those really aren’t that big of a deal since I haven’t had a failure to play a game so far.

It was at least 20 years since I tried Linux, and the changes are wild. I didn’t even choose a simple distro and haven’t even had too difficult of a time.

  • I just installed Manjaro over my windows 10 drive and the effort so far has been way easier than I thought.

KDE Plasma reminds me a lot of WIn 10, and nearly everything I did on my windows system works under Linux without hassle. The only issue I had were certain technical things like overlooking my GPU and setting up my LED lights.

  • Well I spent Sunday night installing Manjaro and so far so good. It’s been almost 30 years since the last time I used Linux, and KDE Plasma is really easy to use.

I decided to wipe my Win 10 drive so there was no going back. I was able to install and play games like normal, and I even used the command line to pull and build the Mullvad VPN App from the Arch store, and sign the app certificate.

The best part was once I setup the steam libraries Steam pulled all the information from those drives and all my games that weren’t on my Windows SSD were ready to go. All of my peripherals just worked and the Nvidia driver was fine.

I’m just missing some GOG Games, but Heroic should take care of that. Painless and simple.

It’s amazing how much has changed in over 20 years.

  • In the early years, I learned a lot of new things. The late 90’s had so much hope for the web and learning new things. I remember falling I to rabbit holes a lot more often back then because it wasn’t about video essays and persuasive videos.

I miss all of those old text based chatting and the friends I made on Yahoo local chat rooms. Somedays I wish the social media sites run by algorithms didn’t surpass those old forums and chat rooms.

  • The problem now is that they stopped prescribing opiates for people go need them. Now, the suicide rate has increased for those with Chronic Pain issues. Many places stopped giving Pain medication after major surgeries.

They were giving Ocycontin for minor muscle pain, because regular doctors were told that it had no abuse risk. Now, they assume everyone has the predisposition for opioid addiction, when it’s only 5% of the population or so.

As a person who needs pain meds daily just to function, I miss the days when doctors were able to focus on doctring instead of withholding treatment because the DEA wants to arrest doctors. Over 20 years I’ve been on opiates and when I get a prescription canceled, or need to change meds, I stop them and after 3 days I’m clean again.

It’s not that big of a deal when you don’t get high from regular dosages. I never moved to the black market, I usually just suffer and complain to my doctor politely when I can’t get out of bed and bathe myself because they stop my medications.

Many other people choose Suicide be abuse constant 24/7 pain takes a heavy toll on your psyche.

I prefer the term rat-fucked. Because one small group came in and took all the best parts of the Economy, leaving everyone else with powdered eggs and ham loaf. Not to mention the extra constipation causing cheese product.

At least when dog-fucking occurs, cute puppies come out. After a good rat-fucking, all you get is weird diseases and shame.
