If someone is looking for a local hosted budgeting alternative, consider using Actual Budget. It’s an open source app that’s similar to YNAB

Edit:
Also this is an interesting read from the original developer of Actual. Basically, it started as a closed source web app funded by a subscription model. When the business failed, he decided to open source it
I began feeling old when re**itors started calling their site an ‘app’

Edit: just ate some chicken and rice
Do you have a github repo, mailing list, rss feed, or some other way to track this project? It sounds interesting…
Will you submit a pull request with your fork? Maybe other users could benefit from it

I just use syncthing and set up the appropriate send /receive permissions for each folder
When I want to access those files remotely, I just sftp / ssh into the server. (Someone more knowledgeble than me can help you with that part, I just install Tailscale on my devices for remote ssh)
sure it may not be elegant, but is pretty easy to maintain in the long run (see complaints about updating / setting up nextcloud in this thread)
maybe this will help with setup. Note he is doing bidirectional sync, but one way sync works too:

If you check out screenshots, you’ll see that its a very non traditional type of keyboard that requires time and effort to get the hang of.
Once you do, you will be able to type roughly as fast as you would with predictive swipe
