yeah yeah, we get it, you have forgiving mothers, nice humble brag.

Matrix today, put on the headset!
I’ve heard “wallet warrior” been thrown around in gaming communities for people who just pay for high end accounts without having any skill to back it up.
Well, if it’s a “normal” touchscreen laptop, I think most Linux distros have support for it out of the box.
If you have a bit of patience. What you could do is simply install Linux on an external drive (usb stick works fine if its large enough) connected to your laptop.
That way you can freely try what works without messing anything up until you’ve decided.
You might want to be more specific than that… but im running Debian on a Microsoft Surface and It’s great. You will need to follow a tutorial on how to install it though. It’s a bit more technical than your average Linux installation
I can’t exactly say I’ve seen it in my local library. I remember this being circulated and just really hoped that the idiots in my class wouldn’t blow their hands off.
Been a very long time since I’ve seen this in digital form. I really thought it would be more difficult to find this these days.
Thought I didn’t really look for it either I suppose.
In the “wild west” days there was a certain “terrorists handbook” circulating with detailed instructions on how to make all sorts of things.
I’m very happy that sort of thing isn’t easily available to everyone anymore.
Trolling then and “trolling” now are just not the same. The meaning behind the word has evolved to mean something malicious. Trolling back then meant more like a practical joke. Like telling a noob alt+f4 will give them buffs in a game.
But you’re trying to compare a time where the internet had few million of users rather than a few billion ones.
Oh, and people got banned ALL THE TIME before too. I don’t know if you remember mud’s or IIRC. But I do. Banning annoying people was very common. Certainly ain’t nothing new. Behave or gtfo.
All you have is trying to insult me because you think I’m white. Pathetic. I’m not American. I’m not part of your little race war. Don’t include me in it.
If you never comment, and only vote, it’s not going to doxx you. Your account can be assumed to live in a certain city. That’s it. Please tell me how that is used to dox someone. “Shit they know I live in Frome, I’m done for!”
But now you bringing up posting local pictures. Which is so far from “just voting”. That’s not your voting doxxing you. That’s you posting local pictures doxxing you.
You really didn’t think your argument through did you?
How very American of you. Me disclosing my ethnicity to you would do a lot more on the way of doxxing than any voting pattern ever could. Don’t you think?
How exactly do you imagine “never commenting, but showing votes” might dox someone?
My home adress is not on display here. Imagine if pigs had wings. Imagine living on Mars upside down. And how long is a rope?
I don’t mind because I don’t care who knows what posts and comments I vote for. I’m more than happy to stand up for what I think and why I think so.
Worst case. I get banned from .ml communities for seeing through the blatant ccp propaganda. No loss there.
As you wish, and probably a good idea;
Voting on lemmy is not private because anyone who wants to find out. Can. Be it moderators, adminis, or users on federated sites that simply show it for everyone.
You don’t. You never have. Voting already is not private
Its already not private
Entering Hogwarts Legacy,
I took my little goofballs off cousins to an amusement park, never been so scared in my life as I see the youngest instantly take off like Usain Bolt. So glad they got phones at least because I wasn’t sure how I would explain to my uncle that I lost his child 5 seconds after entering.
Gonna have to bust out the good old carbon dating kit for this meme
Ouch…
Which distros? Just saying Linux is kind of pointless. Linux is the kernel.
Some distros come with more pre-installed features and functions, some come with less.
Some are more average user-friendly than others.
I put Debian on my laptop and have not had any problems accessing external drives or plugging in multiple monitors.
What is a difficult boss for your build can be a super easy boss for someone else’s build.
First time I beat malenia I didn’t understand what people were talking about. She was so easy. Because my build poise broke her non stop and I could essentially stun lock her to death. (Lv 150)
Wasn’t until I played against her on my second character that I understood what a monumental challenge she can be.
I can see a world where he can offer hardware and firmware, with claims of other intended purposes.
But the second part wherehe provides customers with pirated software is a slam dunk for nintendo.
