External translators who've worked on major franchises including The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing have been refused credits and locked into decade-long NDAs.

That’s really sad. What’s worse that Nintendo isn’t the only one, apparently it happens a lot in the gaming industry.

    They do. But they use external translators too.

    BTW the article mentions that their company / agency was mentioned in the credits, just not the individual translators.
