    Setenil de las Bodegas is a town (pueblo) and municipality in the province of Cádiz, Spain, famous for its dwellings built into rock overhangs above the Río Guadalporcún. According to the 2005 census, the city has a population of 3,016 inhabitants.

    This is fucking with my brain - are the rocks I’m seeing on a slope above the roofs, or are the rocks actually the ceiling of the road?

    That is gorgeous. I wonder how they seal the buildings around the rock to prevent moisture from making a damp house

    Where exactly is this? I don’t remember cádiz having those houses under rocks. It’s a coastal city with no real caves

          Painters at my home used a product they called Tyvek tape to adhere to stone and rock surfaces. It is extremely sticky and works well over light dust. Regardless of the availability of professional painters supplies, that is a terrible paint job in the photo.
