People put American cheese on goddam apple pie for Christ’s sake, apple on a pizza sounds waaaay better.
My local favorite is apple slices+bacon, it’s the best.
My guess is that it depends on the apple type.
Some apples are better than other to make apple pies without making it soggy, same issue could apply to pizzas.
That’s a good point. I haven’t cooked anything with apple that could go soggy for years, so I hadn’t thought of that. Pulled pork and apple pizza is sounding nice though :)
Apple sauce instead of tomato based sauce, shred the pork and cheese, would go really well with jerk pork
