Scaling back subsidies would reduce air pollution, generate revenue, and make a major contribution to slowing climate change

    This is so sad, yet unsurprising. Fuel is big business… Big business is a controlling interest in politics. Until we tear down, it will not change. I hate to be sinical but optical “change” is all most politicians care about. It’s all about promising enough for re-election.
