And how will my individual purchasing decision avoid “the Android situation”? 🙄
You’re not getting my point. I’m talking about the linux infrastructure, not individual purchases.
instances/hubs/rpcs cannot block a user account or community
Great! I was looking for a social media platform without the possibility of moderation. 🙄 /s
I’m not sure if those people actually want Linux, then.
I get it, but no one is stopping asus from making the drivers public.
I also get why asus likes the “blessing” of Valve for marketing purposes, etc. But I have a bad feeling that this could result in a new part of the linux world where hardware manufacturers don’t contribute to the driver ecosystem.
I don’t want a world where the only sensible way to run your rog ally is through SteamOS and all the other distros have driver issues.
I’m looking at all these “news” reports and think to myself: “… but bazzite is already there! How is this news?”
EndeavourOS is nice, but I wouldn’t suggest noobs to start with an arch based distro.
I think you’re confusing the avengers with the x men storylines.
In civil war, Cap refused to have an accountability program for the avengers because he had the hots for Bucky.
Wow… is that your full understanding of Nazi Germany?
The so-called US also created “a registry” for certain people, which inspired Germany for their Nurenberg race-laws.
Captain America was fighting for the US while Jim Crow was active. He probably went to school with people who found Hitler’s ideas great.
You don’t copy Leni Riefenstahl without making at least partly a fascist propaganda movie.
I don’t understand your comment.
He’s still playing world police.
Yep. Remember that the deck is a PC, so you’d install them, not “sideload” anything.
You’ll still most likely need to run the setup with a compatibility layer (i.e. WINE/proton). Just add the setup as a non-steam game and install it via the steam client (in Desktop mode)
He threw a tantrum because he didn’t want public oversight over his and his friend’s superpowers.
It was basically a “You’re a loose canon, McBain” cop storyline.
That’s what I meant with “prior art”. Nintendo’s second patent basically explains how any old JRPG worked.
Copyright is already cooked, no matter where it’s located. But the way japan acts as if Pokemon invented JRPG battles is simply ridiculous.
the fact that patents on game mechanics are even allowed is just awful for the industry as a whole
Yes, definetly.
That sure is a handycap when playing chess. ;)
