This is excellent advice actually! My first instinct after getting it on my skin was to wash it off with soap and water, and learned afterwards that water causes it to cure faster. So it would make sense to dampen the wood to get it to stick better

I am not sure why you are getting downvoted for answering the question. Yes, lemmy tends to have fewer religious people, but it’s upsetting that others are quick to downvote anyone expressing their religious beliefs. Personally I am agnostic, however I respect that everyone has the right to their beliefs.

If I’m not mistaken, it’s almost exclusively male cats that are affected due to their urethral anatomy and stress tends to cause the onset of the inflammation. It is very life threatening without treatment, but the cat will live a normal healthy life after the surgery otherwise. You did the right thing taking your baby to the vet right away and saved his life, I hope you get the help and support you need to help him with this procedure ❤️
