I was looking for this, thank you for your service!
Cause when you stay at home, you become comfortable with it and also keep making things better and better. You have full control over your experience so you end up optimizing it.
When you go out to say a coffee shop, that’s optimized for the owner to make the most money.
Don’t have to spend money just to hang around.
Not to mention there are no more third spaces. When we leave our home, besides going to a park or something, you’re expected to pay at almost all establishments you go to. As in, you have to pay rent to use infrastructure you don’t own, so why not just stay at home since you’ve already paid for using that.
It was really weird to me too. Like, if you don’t like your home and being by yourself, maybe you’re not a good influence on others.
I think it’s cause of envy. Every once in a while, a game comes that just seems to do a lot of things and become very very successful (like red dead and gta).
Then these other studios get FOMO and turn to a go big or go home attitude.
So what you end up with is this inflation of features when only a few devs can land a big game like that.
Sci-Fi Author: In my book I invented the Torment Nexus as a cautionary tale Tech
Company: At long last, we have created the Torment Nexus from classic sci-fi novel Don’t Create The Torment Nexus
Yep, by definition generative AI gets worse the more specific you get. If you need common templates though, it’s almost as good as today’s google.
Would I curse in his name or praise him if I misspell something?
“Amazon.
We’re evil, and we like it!”
Honestly, it’s one of the more mask off of all the big companies.
Is it weird that I have prime but I pirate still?
It’s just not a good experience…

Linux was invented and the concept of open web and right to your own hardware, although that could change.
Also, vaccines.
That’s cause there is no target audience. His supporters already think he can do no wrong so who is this film trying to win over?
Fair points but as someone who works in cybersecurity. Phishing emails can happen without admin access. I haven’t heard of any randsomware that is triggered by just clicking on a link.
I think there should be some restrictions but highly technical people should slowly be given more and more control as they gain more trust/experience.
I thought my comment was pretty clear that some rules are justified and that the IT person can just be the bearer of bad news.
Maybe not, hopefully this comment clarifies.
In my experience it’s been IT people telling me you can’t use a certain tool or have more control over your computer cause of their rules.
The expression is appropriate but the meme assumes that im doubting the IT person’s expertise. I’m not, I’m just not liking the rules that get in the way of my work. Some rules do make sense though.
Edit: just wanted to point out, yes I agree, you need the rules, they are still annoying tho.
Wait so if a game doesn’t not need online connection it can say buy?
That is such a huuuge advantage to indie devs that can let you own things.
Would it benefit him to admit it? Genuine question.
